Here are a few of my first hexagons (or, as the knitting community calls them, hexipuffs):
How many do I need to make before my blanket is finished?
...um....about 300. But we're not going to talk about that right now.
During every Olympics, the knitting community at Ravelry.com puts together something called the Ravellenic Games. The idea is that, during the course of the Olympics, you're supposed to go on a knitting marathon and make something amazing.
Last Winter Olympics, I beat my goal by making not one of these Llama Hats, but two of them.
My goal for this Olympics? To make 50 hexipuffs!!!
Wish me luck, guys. I'm going to need it!
WOW!!! You are so talented at knitting!!!! I can never knit anything without holes in them :/ but this is a very cute project, can't wait to see it when it's done :)

Thank you so much! I've been knitting for awhile now and I love it. I'll be sure to show you all the finished project when/IF it ever gets done!
DeleteThat beekeepers quilt is so cool. I love the colors you have started put with! I'm trying to learn to knit and have never heard of the ravellenic games. So neat! I dream of learning to make a lama hat.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm just using scraps of yarn from previous projects, honestly, so I haven't been thinking much about the colors I'm using--but I'm glad you like them! Good luck learning how to knit--it's so much fun and gets so easy with time.
DeleteWow that is so cool! Sewing is one thing I have always wished I could master. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'm not too great with actual sewing. I would love to make outfits like the people on Project Runway. Alas, I'll settle for knitting :)
Deleteha, this is neat. good luck!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'm going to need all the luck I can get to finish this thing, hehe.
DeleteWow! Your stuff looks amazing, I especially like the quilt. I wish I was able to take time for things like that!!
